ANNOUNCEMENTS
Revive Church Project Update - 6/27/24A civil engineering firm has been retained and has completed preliminary plans for an additional entrance off of Martin Highway. The proposed entrance is separate from the existing Cobblestone / Stuart West entrance, and will accesses the property directly from Martin Highway (714). Revive Church is pursuing this option voluntarily and at their own expense because they believe it is the best option to address / remedy the communities' concerns.
These plans will now be submitted to FDOT. Once submitted, FDOT will meet with Revive and their representatives to review their feasibility, and discuss other options as necessary. A soft target date for the initial meeting is mid August. Revive Church has secured a commitment from a Martin County Commissioner to submit a letter of support for the proposal and attend the initial meeting with FDOT. Revive Church asks the communities to understand that the results of this process are NOT GUARANTEED in any way, but that Revive is committed to participating in a pursuit of a mutually beneficial remedy. There will be some activity on the property in the coming weeks. This activity is related to: - cleanup from the brush fire - assessment and compliance with environmental requirements, particularly the impact of the brush fire on the Gopher Tortoise population on the property. These activities DO NOT represent the commencement of the development process. 7/25 BOD Meeting Agenda - Meeting Notice Page
